Trex Hardware

This self-gapping hardware is the main fastener component that attaches two boards together. It features a stainless-steel deck screw already set in the fastener for increased durability and easier installation.

Traditional square edge boards require traditional deck screws for installation; however, using a Trex® groove cutter routes the necessary underside groove into any traditional board to accommodate our hidden deck fastening system

The Trex Hideaway® Butt Joint Clip ensures a strong and seamless connection without the hassle of additional joists and fasteners for a secure installation, every time. Easily install these clips where boards meet over a single joist, allowing for a quicker deck installation without compromising on aesthetics. The extra-wide “wings” of the Butt Joint Clip provide the same secure connection as two standard Trex Hideaway® Universal Hidden Fasteners, so that only one clip is required per side. Additionally, the clip’s “shoulders” provide the support of two joists, eliminating the need for extra blocking.

The Trex Universal Fastener Installation Tool makes installing Trex Universal Fasteners much more efficient. Designed to create a one-step approach to driving the fastener, this tool can reduce installation time up to 50%. Featuring a nose cone to ensure you hit the head of the screw every time, a handle that allows for both pushing and pulling and a handy bit holder in the bottom, this tool was created with both the professional and the first time DIY’er in mind.
